Get excited, TAD fans, today we're posting a generous sampling of his famous single panel comic, Indoor Sports (as well as a few Outdoor Sports for good measure). TAD was a fixture of the Sports section in the newspapers of the day, so it's no surprise he took a twist on the subject and ran with it. The "sports" included in these outings involve the usual guy things, such as "cheering up" a commuter who has dropped his goods, or giving a touring burlesque company the "once over" in a hotel lobby, or even, while stuck out with the wife, trying to duck some dolls you met at the dance hall the night prior. Or in the case of Outdoor Sports, finding a dry spot to wait out a rain storm or acting as a decoy for a rapidly thinning "hash hound" (the sacrifices of war, you know). If you're new to this one, think Out Our Way, but replace the sentimentalism with some darker humor.
For more fun from TAD, don't forget to check out our Silk Hat Harry archive. And Yesterday's Papers recently had a post about the man (including some Indoor Sports panels and a Silk Hat Harry strip), so make sure to give that a look too.
