Archie the Amateur & Boggs the Optimist, Ingenious Ruggles, Innocent Ike, Oliver Meddle, and Superstitious Muggs were all created by the ubiquitous "Brad" Bradford, and they all share the same dedication to naming conventions. Each character is summed up neatly by his appellation, and the gags unfold from there. Despite their hoary origins, there are some clever gags in these, and it's fun to see the characters intersect and cross over.
