Observational humor is a hallmark of the funnies, it's not surprising to find it employed even in the early days of comic strips. Joining our roster today is one such strip from the dawn of the 20th Century, C.L. Sherman's Doesn't it Seem Strange. Each outing is one long question beginning with the title and introducing a character type who we may have witnessed at one time or another in our own day-to-day. Sherman turns in some surprisingly detailed layouts that remind me a bit of Winsor McCay. Sherman proves once again to be a versatile and creative artist; I'm glad to have stumbled upon another of his creations and twice so to be able to share with the world. Enjoy.
